Description: 

On August 21, 2018, Lakeside Youth Services provided professional development for the staff at Thomas Holme School on creating trauma informed classrooms. Many of the school’s students come from backgrounds where abuse, addiction and incarceration plagues their lives, and they become overwhelmed with how to cope. This training was structured to provide teachers with the toolbox to support students when their emotional need level has escalated. This ratification request is required due to misunderstanding by the school concerning the correct procedures for engaging and compensating a contractor, which procedures the school will adhere to going forward
