The Office of Capital Programs (OCP) requests a contract extension for the Design/Build Contractor, to ensure the measure and verification (M&V) of the improved mechanical and electrical systems comply with the previously established energy savings goal requirements. The M&V process ensures that the energy and cost savings benchmarked for this project are realized. If the stated goals are not reached, the contractor must take corrective action to ensure the guaranteed energy savings requirements have been met. The M&V process duration is one year after the project is complete. The M & V period was a part of the original agreement with the contractor, but this time period was not included in the original board action item. The revised completion date is June 30, 2027.
