Why is this contract needed?
During the 2021-22 school year, the School District of Philadelphia (District) contracted with KJR Consulting for a wide-range of training and professional development programming for central office personnel. Under this contract, Office of School Safety personnel completed extensive training, focused primarily on school safety leadership and supervisory staff. This training was rated highly effective among the participants.
The Office of School Safety seeks to continue its training partnership with KJR Consulting as part of upcoming professional development for School Safety supervisory staff at the end of the 2022-23 school year and into the 2023-24 school year. The training will focus on effective leadership, team development, and supervision, as well as navigating and responding to change.

This action item aligns with Guardrail 1, welcoming, safe, and supportive schools. It is a top priority of the Office of School Safety to have a well-trained team to ensure it is effective in fostering safe, secure, and supportive learning environments.
How will the success of this contract be measured?
On-time completion of planned training and professional development and training program for school safety leaders and supervisors, and high ratings of the quality of the training program offered by the vendor.
