The School District of Philadelphia's (District) Office of Facilities Management and Services has identified a need to extend and add funding for its general service contracts. This action item will allow maintenance and repairs in schools to continue without interruption. The selected vendors operate across various trades in support of our maintenance department staffing vacancies which currently sits at 33%. Services will include repairs to asphalt, concrete block, emergency generators, fire alarms, high voltage systems, and piping and sewer repairs.
These contractors were selected through a competitive process and have a track record of satisfactory work for the District. The Maintenance department will assign the contractors work, which will also monitor the work for quality and completeness.
