KickUp is a valuable documentation and data analysis tool that allows us to record our contractually-obligated coaching interactions with teachers in the Peer Assistance and Review program, as well as hundreds of other interactions with teachers receiving support from the School District of Philadelphia's (District) Office of Professional Learning. This is a necessary tool for compliance monitoring to ensure that teachers are receiving the support they need, but also a powerful system for analyzing teachers' progress on instructional skills. Coaching can significantly increase performance and KickUp provides a comprehensive hub with real-time, customizable documentation forms for communication with teachers and customized reporting. Having an accurate record of our coaching interactions allows us to meet implement our coaching programs with fidelity and provides a historical record should it be needed in the future.

The District recognizes the important role that teachers play in achieving the Goals and Guardrails and is committed to providing teachers with high-quality coaching experiences. Coaching can significantly increase performance and KickUp provides a comprehensive hub with real-time, customizable documentation forms for communication with teachers and customized reporting. We know that our progress toward academic achievement and excellent teaching is only as good as our tools to measure it. This platform would allow us to analyze coaching focus areas to ensure that teachers are receiving the support necessary to lead students toward meeting Goals and Guardrails.
How will the success of this contract be measured?
KickUp will continue to be evaluated based on system functionality and reporting.
If this is the continuation of a contract, how has success been measured in the past, and what specific information do we have to show that it was successful?
We are continuing to work with this vendor because the product is customizable, easy to use, and provides the functions we require.
When applicable, was a larger community of District community members and/or stakeholders involved in this selection process? If so, what groups and how?
Consistent with the District’s competitive procurement process, the selection process resulting in this contractor included a committee of District staff with relevant programmatic, IT, and fiscal expertise who reviewed and evaluated contractors’ RFP responses.
