Why is this contract needed?
The School District of Philadelphia's (District) Office of Information Technology (IT) provides laptops and desktops to administrative staff and Chromebooks to all students. This five-year contract award will be constructed as an initial three-year commitment with two (2) optional one-year extensions that will permit the District to procure staff and student devices, based on vendor satisfactory performance and adherence to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).

Student access to Chromebooks is pivotal to a modern educational environment and supports access to digital curriculum, learning resources, assessments, and adaptive programs.

How will the success of this contract be measured?
IT tracks Chromebook assignments and status through the Student Information System. IT also tracks staff computer assignment, requiring digital signature of an agreement accepting possession of the PC device by the serial number.
