 The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize The School District of Philadelphia, through the Superintendent or his designee, to execute and perform a contract, subject to funding, as follows:

Gessler Construction Co., Inc. 

 Purpose: 

To contract with Gessler Construction Co., Inc. for a new parking lot and storm water management improvements at Andrew Hamilton School



 Start date: 12/16/2022

 End date: 6/30/2025
 Compensation not to exceed: $567,500

 Description:

The Office of Capital Programs, through the facilities conditions assessment, has identified the need for a new parking lot and stormwater management improvements at Andrew Hamilton School. This project recommended for contract award was identified in the approved FY22 capital budget. The project was publicly advertised and the lowest responsible bidder is recommended for contract award. The District’s design, construction, and project management teams have developed a site specific construction phasing plan in collaboration with principals and contractors for the site improvements. The work will be monitored by an inspector, project manager and construction manager to ensure the contractors meet the established budget and schedule.
