 The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize The School District of Philadelphia, through the Superintendent or his designee, to execute and perform a contract, subject to funding, as follows:

Various vendors on the Pennsylvania Education Purchasing Program for Microcomputers (PEPPM) master contract 

 Purpose: 

To provide general technology hardware, software, peripherals, parts, and related supplies to schools and administrative offices


 Start date: 1/1/2023

 End date: 12/31/2023
 Compensation not to exceed: $4,500,000 
 Separate Compensation by Vendor:
All entities will be paid out of the aggregate amount not to exceed $4,500,000.

 Description:

Pennsylvania Education Purchasing Program for Microcomputers (PEPPM) is bid through IU 16 Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU). This award represents an annual authorization to utilize the state PEPPM Master Contract to provide a source for schools and administrative offices to purchase technology equipment and related services including printer parts and supplies, various productivity (i.e. non-instructional) software, projectors, hard drives, computer parts, networking equipment, telecom equipment, and consumables (replacement bulbs, mice, keyboards, etc.).

 

As the nation’s largest collection of branded technology products, the PEPPM Master Contract contains over 2 million products from hundreds of manufacturers, all competitively bid and awarded to hundreds of different pre-vetted resellers. PEPPM is managed by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit and is endorsed by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.
