The previous leader of the Office of Employee Health is no longer with the District and the increase in leaves processing due to Direct Quarantine Leave and other COVID-related work related to testing requires additional support from a Human Resource expert.
The District must be in compliance with our leave offerings that are both contractually negotiated and/or established by state or federal law. Additionally, effectuating leaves processes by ensuring we are supporting our employees who must take leave that is available to them is connected to retaining our great talent by providing them good customer service and high quality benefits.
Completion of timely leaves requests through the Office of Employee Health, creation of improved processes for leave management, and the hiring of a new manager of leaves administration.
The firm was initially used to do a review of our leaves processes and to support in a leadership transition - the team was effectively able to hire two leaves specialists and to document areas for process improvement under the initial LCA.
