On-call contractors are required due to the breadth and scope of work that is needed to respond to work orders submitted by schools, which may not be anticipated in advance, and may need to be addressed quickly. This item is a ratification because the work is necessary to maintain safe and warm learning environments for students in schools, and serves to meet Board Guardrail 1 -Welcoming and Supportive Schools-Every School will be a safe, welcoming and healthy place where our students, staff and community want to learn each day.
