Action under consideration

 The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize The School District of Philadelphia, through the Superintendent or his designee, to execute and perform a contract, subject to funding, as follows: 

 With:
Sherpa Government Solutions 

 Purpose: 
Application and support to produce the annual budget, budget books, and to serve as a database and reporting tool for budget and expenditure reporting

 Start date: 7/1/2021

 End date: 6/30/2022
 Compensation not to exceed: $338,000 
 Location: 
Central Office


 Description:

The District needs an application and support to produce the annual budget, budget books, and to serve as a database and reporting tool for budget and expenditure reporting. The District is in the process of implementing a new budget development module that is a component of the Oracle system. The Oracle module is not expected to be available until mid-FY2022. Until such time the Oracle module is implemented, the District will continue to need services from its current budget module provider - Sherpa Government Solutions.  Once the new Oracle budget system is implemented, the services from Sherpa regarding the budget development module will no longer be needed and the contract will be terminated with no additional expenditures required to Sherpa beyond the payment for services provided.
