The Office of Capital Programs has identified various capital projects at multiple school locations based on the capital budget call and the facilities assessment report. The project recommended for contract award at Ethan Allen was identified in the approved FY21 adopted capital budget. The scope of work for the new addition consists of 13 classrooms, gymnasium, elevator, student and staff restrooms, and support spaces. The existing building will be updated with new exterior doors and frames, fire alarm, electrical, data, clock system, LED lighting, façade repairs, roof replacement, cafeteria upgrade to full service, and interior renovations with a focus on educational spaces. The project was publicly advertised and the lowest responsible bidders are recommended for contract award. The work will be monitored daily by an inspector, project manager and construction manager to ensure the contractors meet the established budget and schedule. Awarding this contract supports the Operations goal of providing 100% of students with safe, healthy and welcoming learning environments.
