The Administration recommends that the Board of Education ratify the execution and performance of a contract by The School District of Philadelphia, through the Superintendent or his designee, subject to funding, as follows:

 Purpose: To engage parents in professional development with teachers and staff that centers around improving literacy for students and how parents can help at home

End Date:  6/12/2020

Compensation not to exceed: $2,500

Meade, General George G. School

Description: Meade started a limited contract to work with Springboard Collaborative, however, it was never fully completed due to miscommunications in obtaining the required approvals. In the excitement for the program to begin and to maintain parent engagement and enthusiasm, Meade began the program without the fully executed contract.  In the future, it is understood that no further engagement of contractors by the Meade school will be made without prior Board of Education Approval.
