To provide textbooks and instructional aids to schools

 Compensation not to exceed: $15,000,000

All entities will be paid out of the aggregate amount not to exceed $15,000,000.

 Description:

The School District has identified a need for textbooks and instructional aids for schools to facilitate the educational process. By authorizing these vendors, the central office and Principals have access to a wide variety of textbooks and instructional aids for use in classrooms that are aligned to and support the District's curriculum and instructional goals. Purchases authorized by this action item are reviewed and supported by the Office of Academic Supports. The District's anchor goals of 100% of students graduating ready for college and career, and 100% of 8-year-olds reading on or above grade level, are served by this authorization. The School District expects that each student will have access to the ELA, math, science and social studies textbooks and manipulatives needed to succeed through this authorization.
