The adopted Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for FY20 includes a new replacement school for the Cassidy Elementary School. The new school design will include 27 classrooms, four (4) small group instruction rooms, Instructional Material Center, Art, Music, Science, Gym, Cafetorium, and full service kitchen. The estimated construction budget for the project is $30 million.  The Ewing Cole firm will be required to submit four sets of documentation during the design phase. A construction estimate is also required at each phase. Staff from the Office of Capital Programs will review each submission and provide comments to ensure compliance with the District's Building Design and Technical Standards. Success will be measured by the firm's ability to meet the design schedule, accuracy and completeness of the project documentation, professionalism of the project team, and delivering the project within the specified scope and budget.
