| | | | | | | | | Description: The School District of Philadelphia (District) is required by federal law to provide, from its CARES Act federal awards, an equitable share of services to Philadelphia non-public schools who desire to participate in CARES Act funding programs. Equitable share services are already provided to non-public schools through competitively selected contractors pursuant to federal Title awards received by the District. The District will utilize those same contractors to provide CARES Act services. The District manages the contractor provision of services and regularly consults with non-public schools to ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently. At this time, the District does not know the total dollar amount of the allocation to non-public schools overall, and does not know the amount of allocation to each non-public school and the selected contractors. The allocation to schools and the contractor selected are subject to consultation between the District and non-public schools. To ensure approvals are secured and services begin immediately after June 30, 2020, an aggregate amount is listed for payments to all contractors. The expected outcome of these services is to help non-public schools cope with the impacts of COVID-19.
