|
|
| | | | | | | | | Description: IU 26 must provide IDEA services directly or contract with vendors to provide these services based on the selection of a contractor by each of the non-public schools. At the request of non-public schools, the IDEA services are to be provided by contractors as the most efficient and effective method as those same contractors also provide Titles I, II and III and IV services. IU 26 manages the contractor provision of services and regularly consults with non-public schools to ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently. At this time, IU 26 does not know the identified disabled student counts in non-public schools or the dollar amount of the allocation to non-public schools overall. However, to ensure approvals are secured prior to the start of services, an aggregate amount is listed for payments to all contractors with the final, specific allocations to be made for each contractor prior to June 30, 2020. The expected outcome of these contracts is improved academic performance of identified disabled non-public school students.
