| The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize The School District of Philadelphia, through the Superintendent or his designee, to execute and perform a contract, subject to funding, as follows:

| | | | | | | | | Description: The Department of Facilities Management has identified the need for a contractor to clean out oil tanks and dispose of sludge and contaminants at District schools, on an as needed basis. The cleaning of these oil tanks is necessary to prevent heating plant failures due to clogged orifices, pipes and premature failure of oil pumps. Services will be monitored by the District's Facility Area Coordinators and Environmental staff. Utilization of these services supports the Operations goal of providing 100% of students with a safe, healthy, and welcoming learning environment.
